     General Richard Vyse was born on 11 July 1746 at Lichfield, Staffordshire, England.2 He was the son of Reverend William Vyse and Catherine Smalbroke.2 He married Ann Howard, daughter of Field Marshal Sir George Howard and Lady Lucy Wentworth, in 1780.1 He died in 1825.2
