     Elizabeth Cabot Motley was the daughter of Hon. John Lothrop Motley. She married, firstly, Thomas Poynton Ives before 1865.1 She married, secondly, Rt. Hon. Sir William George Granville Harcourt, son of Reverend William Harcourt and Matilda Mary Gooch, on 2 December 1876. She died on 1 April 1928.
     From before 1865, her married name became Ives.1 Her married name became Harcourt.
