     Mary Elizabeth Brinsley Sheridan was born on 19 October 1871 at Frampton Court, Dorset, England.2,1 She was the daughter of Algernon Thomas Brinsley Sheridan and Mary Lathrop Motley.1 She married, firstly, Sir Charles Garden Assheton-Smith, 1st Bt., son of Robert George Duff and Mary Astley, on 10 July 1894.1 She and Sir Charles Garden Assheton-Smith, 1st Bt. were divorced.1 She married, secondly, Sir Edward Paulet Stracey, 7th Bt., son of Sir Edward Henry Gervase Stracey, 6th Bt. and Mary Gertrude Des Voeux, on 17 December 1902.1
     From 10 July 1894, her married name became Assheton-Smith.1 From 17 December 1902, her married name became Stracey.1

     Richard Brinsley Sheridan was born on 22 May 1874 at Frampton Court, Dorset, England.2,1 He was the son of Algernon Thomas Brinsley Sheridan and Mary Lathrop Motley.1 He was baptised on 1 July 1874 at Frampton Court, Dorset, England.2 He died on 17 September 1901 at age 27 at Moddersfontein, South Africa, killed in action.1
     Richard Brinsley Sheridan was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.1 He fought in the Boer War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the 17th Lancers.1
