     Rt. Hon. Sir William George Granville Harcourt was born on 14 October 1827. He was the son of Reverend William Harcourt and Matilda Mary Gooch. He married, firstly, Maria Theresa Lister, daughter of Thomas Henry Lister and Lady Maria Theresa Villiers, on 5 November 1859. He married, secondly, Elizabeth Cabot Motley, daughter of Hon. John Lothrop Motley, on 2 December 1876. He died on 1 October 1904 at age 76.
     Rt. Hon. Sir William George Granville Harcourt held the office of Chancellor of the Exchequer.

     Thomas Henry Lister wrote the book Granby, published 1826.2 He lived at Armytage Park, Staffordshire, England.1
