     Theobald Butler was born in February 1773.1 He was the son of James Butler and Mary Doherty.2 He married Elizabeth Fitzgerald, daughter of Augustine Fitzgerald, on 24 April 1794.1 He died on 9 November 1810 at age 37,.1
     Theobald Butler graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He was admitted to Gray's Inn in 1791.1 He lived at Knockgraffon, County Tipperary, Ireland.1
