     Judith Brock is the daughter of William Brock.² She married John Saumarez, son of Matthew Saumarez and Carterette Le Marchant.¹
      Her married name became Saumarez.

     Admiral James Saumarez, 1st Baron de Saumarez was born on 11 March 1757.³ He was the son of Matthew Saumarez and Carterette Le Marchant.⁴ He married Martha Le Marchant, daughter of Thomas Le Marchant and Mary Dobrée, on 27 October 1788.³ He died on 9 October 1836 at age 79.³
     He gained the rank of Colonel in 1799 in the service of the Royal Marines.³ He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in 1801.³ He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1801.³ He was created 1st Baronet Saumarez, in the Island of Guernsey [U.K.] on 13 June 1801.³ He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in 1806.³ He gained the rank of Admiral of the Blue in 1814.³ He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1815.³ He gained the rank of Admiral of the White in 1819.¹ He held the office of Rear-Admiral of the U.K. between 1819 and 1821.³ He held the office of Vice-Admiral of the U.K. between 1821 and 1832.³ He gained the rank of Admiral of the Red in 1830.³ He was created 1st Baron de Saumarez, in the Island of Guernsey [U.K.] on 15 September 1831.³

     General Sir Thomas Saumarez was born on 1 July 1760.¹ He was the son of Matthew Saumarez and Carterette Le Marchant.² He married Harriet Brock, daughter of William Brock.¹ He died on 4 March 1845 at age 84, without issue.¹
     He fought in the American War of Independence.¹ He was Equerry and Groom of Chamber to the Duke of Kent in 1790.¹ He was Commander-in-Chief of the New Brunswick in 1813.¹

     Harriet Brock was the daughter of William Brock.² She married General Sir Thomas Saumarez, son of Matthew Saumarez and Carterette Le Marchant.¹ She died on 18 February 1858.¹
      Her married name became Saumarez.

     Richard Saumarez was born on 13 November 1764.¹ He was the son of Matthew Saumarez and Carterette Le Marchant.² He married Martha Le Mesurier, daughter of John Le Mesurier, on 9 January 1786.¹ He died on 27 January 1835 at age 70.¹
     He was invested as a Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.).³ He was a surgeon.¹ He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.).¹ He lived at Newington, Surrey, England.¹

     Martha Le Mesurier is the daughter of John Le Mesurier.² She married Richard Saumarez, son of Matthew Saumarez and Carterette Le Marchant, on 9 January 1786.¹
      From 9 January 1786, her married name became Saumarez.

     Admiral Richard Saumarez was born on 11 September 1791.¹ He was the son of Richard Saumarez and Martha Le Mesurier.² He married Anne Ellson on 12 February 1825.¹ He died on 18 January 1864 at age 72.¹
     He gained the rank of Admiral.¹ He was decorated with the award of the Order of Leopold of Austria.¹
