     Sir Peter Benson Maxwell was the son of Reverend Peter Benson Maxwell.1 He married Frances Dorothea Synge, daughter of Francis Synge and Elizabeth Taylor, in 1842.1 He died in 1893.1
     Sir Peter Benson Maxwell held the office of Chief Justice of the Strais Settlements.1 He lived at Birdstown, County Donegal, Ireland.1

     Sir Robert Synge, 1st Bt. is the son of Venerable Edward Synge and Sophia Helen Maria Hutchinson.1 He married Margaret Wolfe, daughter of Theobald Wolfe, on 7 May 1784.2 He died in 1804.3
     Sir Robert Synge, 1st Bt. was created 1st Baronet Synge, of Kiltrough [U.K.] on 12 August 1801.2 He also had two daughters who died unmarried.2
