Sir John Dryden, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Erasmus Dryden, 1st Bt. and Frances Wilkes.2 He married, firstly, Priscilla Quarles, daughter of unknown Quarles.1 He married, secondly, Anna Parvis, daughter of Henry Parvis.3 He married, thirdly, Honor Bevill, daughter of Sir Robert Bevill, on 3 July 1632.3 He died before 11 November 1658.3
Sir John Dryden, 2nd Bt. succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Dryden, of Canons Ashby, co. Northampton [E., 1619] on 22 May 1632.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Northanptonshire.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Northamptonshire in 1634.3
