     Major Hon. Rupert Edward Henry Law was born on 28 March 1955.3 He is the son of Richard Edward Cecil Law, 8th Baron Ellenborough and Rachel Mary Hedley.1,2 He married Hon. Grania Janet Gray Boardman, daughter of Thomas Gray Boardman, Baron Boardman and Norah Mary Deirdre Gough, in 1981.1
     Major Hon. Rupert Edward Henry Law was educated Eton and RMA Sandhurst.3 He was also known as Rupert Edward Henry Law.3 He was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.3 He retired from the military, with the rank of Major, late of the Coldstream Guards.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.3 He was Major Coldstream Guards (ret), with Coutts & County –, m 20 June 1981 •Hon Grania Janet Gray, only dau of Baron Boardman (LP, see BP&B 1999) in 1988.3 He was with Coutts & Company in 1988.3 He lived in 2003 at Bridge House, Clipston, Market Harborough, Leics LE16 9RX.3
