     Rachel Mary Hedley was the daughter of Major Ivor Mathews Hedley.2 She married Richard Edward Cecil Law, 8th Baron Ellenborough, son of Henry Astell Law, 7th Baron Ellenborough and Helen Dorothy Lovatt, on 9 October 1953.1 She died in 1986.1
     After her marriage, Rachel Mary Hedley was styled as Baroness Ellenborough on 9 October 1953. From 9 October 1953, her married name became Law.

     Rupert Edward Henry Law, 9th Baron Ellenborough was born on 28 March 1955.2 He is the son of Richard Edward Cecil Law, 8th Baron Ellenborough and Rachel Mary Hedley.1,3 He married Hon. Grania Janet Gray Boardman, daughter of Thomas Gray Boardman, Baron Boardman and Norah Mary Deirdre Gough, in 1981.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He retired from the military, with the rank of Major, late of the Coldstream Guards.1 He was with Coutts & Company in 1988.2 He lived in 2003 at Bridge House, Clipston, Market Harborough, Leicestershire, EnglandG.2 He succeeded as the 9th Baron Ellenborough, of Ellenborough, co. Cumberland [U.K., 1802] on 7 June 2013.4
