Mary Murray was born on 7 October 1759.1 She was the daughter of General Lord John Murray and Mary Dalton.1 She married Lt.-Gen. William Murray on 7 February 1782 at Sheffield, Yorkshire, West Riding, England.1 She and Lt.-Gen. William Murray were separated.1 She died on 8 December 1803 at age 44, without issue.1

James Findlater was born, 1ft Helen, dau of James Ballantine, by his wife Helen Nesbitt, on 7 March 1716.1 He was the son of Reverend Alexander Findlater and Jane Kirkaldy.2 He died on 6 April 1769 at age 53,,Ieaving issue (with Ight other children).1

Alexander Findlater was born in August 1754.1 He was the son of James Findlater.2 He died on 4 December 1839 at age 85, . An autograph letter to him from Robert Burns, together wit an inscribed music book and other material, was bequeathed to the Nat Library of Ireland by Sir William Huffington Findlater (see below)].1
