     Frances Mary Thomas was born on 21 October 1870 at Rainow, Macclesfield, Cheshire, England.1 She married Philip Arthur Birley, son of Arthur Birley and Julia Peel, on 6 July 1892.1 She died on 2 January 1939 at age 68 at Lancashire, England.1
     From 6 July 1892, her married name became Birley.1

     Sir Thomas fitz John is the son of Sir John fitz John, 1st Knight of Glin and unknown Giles.2
     Sir Thomas fitz John fought in the Battle of Halidon Hill in 1345.1 In 1345 he was appointed guardian of the peace in the cantred of Inyskyfty (Askeaton).1 In 1346 he gave hostages in fealty to the King.1 He was Custos-Pacis of O'Conyll (Connello), one of the Geraldine Knights in 1346.1 He held the office of Sheriff of County Tipperary in 1346.1 He was living in 1348.1 He lived at Glyn, Ireland, Glancorbry (or Glyn).1
