     Vice-Admiral Sir Godfrey James Milton-Thompson was born on 25 April 1930 at Cheshire, England.2 He was the son of Reverend James Milton-Thompson and May LeMare Hoare.3,4 He married Noreen Helena Frances Fitzmaurice, daughter of Sir Desmond FitzJohn Fitzmaurice and Nancy Leake, on 5 April 1952.1 He died on 23 September 2012 at age 82 at Cornwall, England.5
     He was educated at Eastbourne College, Eastbourne, Sussex, England.5 He graduated from Queens' College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.). He graduated from St. Thomas' Hospital Medical School, London, England, with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.).5 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal College of Physicians, London (F.R.C.P.) in 1974. He lived in 1976 at Pool Hall, Menheniot, Liskeard, Cornwall, England.1 He gained the rank of Surgeon-Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in 1985.6 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1988.6 He was invested as a Knight of Justice, Order of St. John of Jerusalem (K.J.St.J.) in 1989.
