     Sir William Howard Lawson, 5th Bt. was born on 15 July 1907.1 He was the son of Sir Henry Joseph Lawson, 3rd Bt. and Ursula Mary Howard.1 He married Joan Eleanor Stamer, daughter of Arthur Cowie Stamer and Everilda Mary Thompson, on 25 April 1933.1 He died in 1990.2
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Cumberland in 1963.1 He was awarded the Knight, Sovereign Military Order of Malta in 1965.1 He lived in 1967 at Corby Castle, Cumberland, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Lawson, of Brough Hall, Catterick, co. Yorks [U.K., 1841] on 13 February 1975.2

     From 17 September 1960, her married name became Lawson.1 From 1962, her married name became Howard.1 From 1992, her married name became Howard-Lawson.
