Sir William Howard Lawson, 5th Bt. was born on 15 July 1907.1 He was the son of Sir Henry Joseph Lawson, 3rd Bt. and Ursula Mary Howard.1 He married Joan Eleanor Stamer, daughter of Arthur Cowie Stamer, on 25 April 1933.1 He died in 1990.2
Sir William Howard Lawson, 5th Bt. held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Cumberland in 1963.1 He was decorated with the award of Knight, Sovereign Military Order of Malta in 1965.1 He lived in 1967 at Corby Castle, Cumberland, England.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Lawson, of Brough Hall, Catterick, co. Yorks [U.K., 1841] on 13 February 1975.2
