     Sir John Philip Howard-Lawson, 6th Bt. was born on 6 June 1934.1 He is the son of Sir William Howard Lawson, 5th Bt. and Joan Eleanor Stamer.1 He married Jean Veronica Marsh, daughter of Colonel John Evelyn Marsh, on 17 September 1960.1
     Sir John Philip Howard-Lawson, 6th Bt. was baptised with the name of John Philip Lawson.1 He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, England.1 On June 1962 his name was legally changed to John Philip Howard by Royal Licence.1 He lived in 1967 at Wood House, Warwick Bridge, Carlisle, Cumberland, England.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Lawson, of Brough Hall, Catterick, co. Yorks [U.K., 1841] in 1990.2 On 1992 his name was legally changed to John Philip Howard-Lawson by Royal Licence.3
