     Robert Arthur Francis Nicholl-Caddell was born on 23 July 1899 at Assam, IndiaG.2,3 He was the son of Bernard Vincent Nicholl and Winifred Ellis.2 He married Paulina Pepys Dames-Longworth, daughter of Edward Travers Dames-Longworth and Hester Anne Pepys Cockerell, in 1922 at Hambeldon, Surrey, EnglandG.2 He died on 30 April 1941 at age 41, while on active service.2
     He was also known as Robert Arthur Francis Nicholl.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Naon H.M.S. Revenge.4
