     Martha Johanna van Jaarsveld was born on 25 September 1842 at Graaff Reinet, Eastern Cape, South Africa.1 She married, secondly, Philippus Johannes Andreas Watermeyer on 26 December 1878 at Hanover, South Africa.1 She died on 6 June 1932 at age 89 at Harare, Zimbabwe.1
      From 26 December 1878, her married name became Watermeyer.1
