     Sir Arthur Hallam Elton, 7th Bt. was born on 19 April 1818.3 He is the son of Sir Charles Abraham Elton, 6th Bt. and Sarah Smith.2 He married Rhoda Susan Willis, daughter of James Willis, on 10 June 1841.3 He married Eliza Stradling, daughter of Edward Anstice Stradling, on 20 November 1876.4 He died on 14 October 1883 at age 65.4
     Sir Arthur Hallam Elton, 7th Bt. gained the rank of officer between 1836 and 1841 in the service of the 14th Regiment.3 He succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Elton, of Bristol [G.B., 1717] on 1 June 1853.3 He held the office of High Sheriff of Somerset in 1857.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bath between 1857 and 1859.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Somerset.3
