     Ailwyn Henry George Broughton, 3rd Baron Fairhaven was born on 16 November 1936.1 He is the son of Henry Rogers Broughton, 2nd Baron Fairhaven and Hon. Diana Rosamond Fellowes.2 He married Kathleen Patricia Magill, daughter of Colonel James Henry Magill, on 23 September 1960.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was commissioned in 1955, in the service of the Royal Horse Guards.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was awarded the Knight, Order of White Rose of Finland in 1970.1 He retired from the military in 1971, with the rank of Major.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Cambridgeshire in 1973.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of the Isle of Ely in 1973.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Fairhaven, of Anglesey Abbey, co. Cambridge [U.K., 1961] on 6 April 1973.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cambridgeshire in 1975.1 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire between 1977 and 1984.1 He was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.) in 1983.1 He was Senior Steward of the Jockey Club between 1985 and 1989.1 He was appointed Knight, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.St.J.) in 1992.1 He lived in 2003 at Anglesey Abbey, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1

Joyce Irene Miller1

     Joyce Irene Miller was the daughter of Edward Arthur Miller.1 She married, firstly, Gerald Henry Charles Dickens before 1953.1 She married, secondly, Henry Rogers Broughton, 2nd Baron Fairhaven, son of Urban Hanlon Broughton and Cara Leland Rogers, on 14 March 1953.1 She married, thirdly, Admiral Sir Geoffrey Thistleton-Smith on 19 May 1982.1 She died in 1989.1
     From before 1953, her married name became Dickens.1 From 14 March 1953, her married name became Broughton.1 After her marriage, Joyce Irene Miller was styled as Baroness Fairhaven on 20 August 1966. From 19 May 1982, her married name became Thistleton-Smith.1

     Marion Auchinleck is the daughter of Sir John Auchinleck of Glenbervie and Christian Lindsay.2,3 She married, firstly, Sir George Campbell of Loudoun, son of George Campbell of Loudoun and Elizabeth Stewart, in 1484 at Auchinleck, Ayrshire, Scotland.1,3 She married, secondly, William Cuninghame, 1st of Craigends, son of Alexander Cuninghame, 1st Earl of Glencairn and Margaret Hepburn, on 12 March 1497/98.1 She married John Campbell, son of George Campbell of Loudoun and Elizabeth Stewart, circa 1499.3
     From 1484, her married name became Campbell.1 From 12 March 1497/98, her married name became Cuninghame. From circa 1499, her married name became Campbell.3

     David Cuninghame, 1st of Robertland was the son of William Cuninghame, 1st of Craigends and Marion Auchinleck.2 He married Margaret Cuninghame, daughter of William Cuninghame, 2nd of Craigends and Giles Campbell, circa 22 January 1540/41.1 He died before 16 January 1543/44.1
     He lived in 1530 at Robertland, Stewarton, Ayrshire, ScotlandG.1 On 5 March 1539/40 he had a Charter of Bartonholm, incorporated into the Barony of Robertland confirmed by King James V.1
