     Sir George Glyn, 2nd Bt. was born in 1739.¹ He was the son of Sir Richard Glyn, 1st Bt. and Susannah Lewen.² He married, firstly, Jane Lewes, daughter of Reverend Watkin Lewes.¹ He married, secondly, Catherine Powell, daughter of Reverend Gervas Powell, on 11 June 1796.³ He died on 4 September 1814.¹
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).¹ He was a practising barrister.³ He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Glyn, of Ewell, Surrey [G.B., 1759] on 1 January 1773.¹

     Reverend Watkin Lewes lived at Tredeval, Pembrokeshire, Wales.¹
