Sir Robert North Collie Hamilton of Silvertonhill, 6th Bt. was born on 7 April 1802.1 He was the son of Sir Frederic Hamilton of Silvertonhill, 5th Bt. and Eliza Ducarel Collie.2 He married Constantia Anson, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir George Anson and Frances Hamilton, on 6 October 1831.1 He died on 31 May 1887 at age 85.1
He was with the Indian Civil Service.1 He was Agent to the Governor-General of Central India.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Hamilton, of Silvertonhill [N.S., 1646] on 15 August 1853.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Warwickshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Warwickshire.1 He held the office of Mmeber of the Supreme Council in 1859.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Warwickshire in 1866.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).1
