     Her married name became Hope.

     Admiral Sir George Hope-Vere was born on 6 July 1767. He was the son of Charles Hope-Vere and Helen Dunbar. He married Lady Jemima Hope Johnstone, daughter of James Hope Johnstone, 3rd Earl of Hopetoun and Lady Elizabeth Carnegie, in 1803.1 He married, secondly, Hon. Georgiana Mary Anne Kinnaird, daughter of George Kinnaird, 7th Baron Kinnaird, in 1814.2
     Admiral Sir George Hope-Vere was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.).1 He gained the rank of Admiral in the service of the Royal Navy. He lived at Carriden, West Lothian, Scotland.1
