     Walter Scott was born on 26 October 1801.1 He was the son of Sir Walter Scott, 1st Bt. and Margaret Charlotte Charpentier.1 He married Jane Jobson, daughter of William Jobson and Rachel B. Stewart.2 He died in 1847.1

     Alexander Hannay was the son of William Hannay of Kirkdale and Margaret Johnston.2 He died in 1781, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Military Officer in the Germany under Marquess of Granby.1 He fought in the Battle of Minden in 1759.1 He was Adjutant-General of the Army of India.1 He was commander of the King of Oude's Army.1
