     Griselda Harriet Violet Finetta Georgina Hervey was born on 1 October 1901.1 She was the daughter of Dudley Francis Amelius Hervey and Griselda Mary Theophila Campbell.2 She married Clarence Napier Bruce, 3rd Baron Aberdare of Duffryn, son of Major Henry Campbell Bruce, 2nd Baron Aberdare of Duffryn and Constance Mary Beckett, on 12 September 1957.2 She died in 1980.2
     As a result of her marriage, Griselda Harriet Violet Finetta Georgina Hervey was styled as Baroness Aberdare of Duffryn on 12 September 1957. From 12 September 1957, her married name became Bruce.
