     Griselda Harriet Violet Finetta Georgina Hervey was born on 1 October 1901.¹ She was the daughter of Dudley Francis Amelius Hervey and Griselda Mary Theophila Campbell.² She married Clarence Napier Bruce, 3rd Baron Aberdare of Duffryn, son of Major Henry Campbell Bruce, 2nd Baron Aberdare of Duffryn and Constance Mary Beckett, on 12 September 1957.² She died in 1980.²
     As a result of her marriage, Griselda Harriet Violet Finetta Georgina Hervey was styled as Baroness Aberdare of Duffryn on 12 September 1957. From 12 September 1957, her married name became Bruce.

     Dudley Francis Amelius Hervey was born on 7 January 1849.² He was the son of Rev. Lord Charles Amelius Hervey and Lady Harriet Charlottte Sophia Ryder.² He married Griselda Mary Theophila Campbell, daughter of Colonel Sir Edward Fitzgerald Campbell, 2nd Bt. and Georgiana Charlotte Theophila Metcalfe, on 7 June 1894.² He died on 1 June 1911 at age 62.²
     Dudley Francis Amelius Hervey was invested as a Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.).² He was Resident Counsellor of Malacca.² He was registered as a Member, Royal Asiatic Society (M.R.A.S.).² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).³ He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.).³

     Griselda Mary Theophila Campbell was the daughter of Colonel Sir Edward Fitzgerald Campbell, 2nd Bt. and Georgiana Charlotte Theophila Metcalfe.^1,3 She married Dudley Francis Amelius Hervey, son of Rev. Lord Charles Amelius Hervey and Lady Harriet Charlottte Sophia Ryder, on 7 June 1894.² She died on 1 April 1929.²
     Her married name became Hervey.

     Caroline Elizabeth Hope was born on 11 December 1948. She is the daughter of Colonel Archibald John George Hope of Luffness and Mary Pilar Elizabeth Gordon.

     Rev. Lord Charles Amelius Hervey was born on 1 November 1814.² He was the son of Frederick William Hervey, 1st Marquess of Bristol and Hon. Elizabeth Albana Upton.² He married Lady Harriet Charlottte Sophia Ryder, daughter of Dudley Ryder, 1st Earl of Harrowby and Lady Susan Leveson-Gower, on 15 August 1839.² He died on 11 April 1880 at age 65.²
     Rev. Lord Charles Amelius Hervey graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.).² He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.).² He was the Rector at Chesterford, Essex, England.²

     Lady Harriet Charlottte Sophia Ryder was the daughter of Dudley Ryder, 1st Earl of Harrowby and Lady Susan Leveson-Gower.^1,2 She married Rev. Lord Charles Amelius Hervey, son of Frederick William Hervey, 1st Marquess of Bristol and Hon. Elizabeth Albana Upton, on 15 August 1839.¹ She died on 26 September 1899.¹
     Her married name became Hervey.

     Hon. John Hamilton Bruce was born on 14 June 1889.¹ He was the son of Major Henry Campbell Bruce, 2nd Baron Aberdare of Duffryn and Constance Mary Beckett.¹ He married Cynthia Juliet Duff, daughter of Julian Grant Duff, on 3 May 1923.¹ He died on 8 April 1964 at age 74.¹
     Hon. John Hamilton Bruce was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹ He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Glamorgan Yeomanry.¹ He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1950.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Glamorgan.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).¹ He was principal secretary of the Priory of Wales.¹ He was invested as a Knight, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.St.J.).¹

     Cynthia Juliet Duff was the daughter of Julian Grant Duff.¹ She married Hon. John Hamilton Bruce, son of Major Henry Campbell Bruce, 2nd Baron Aberdare of Duffryn and Constance Mary Beckett, on 3 May 1923.¹ She died in 1977.¹
     Her married name became Bruce. She was invested as a Dame of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.St.J.).¹
