     Vice-Admiral George William Hill was born on 20 July 1843.¹ He was the son of Reverend John Hill and Charlotte Kenyon.² He married, firstly, Mary Caroline Singer, daughter of Admiral Morgan Singer, on 7 November 1882.¹ He married, secondly, Helen Maude Woodman, daughter of Frederick Woodman and Alice Emily Cowie, on 15 November 1898.¹ He died on 25 September 1905 at age 62.¹

     Admiral Morgan Singer is the son of Most Rev. & Rt. Hon. Joseph Henderson Singer and Mary Crofton.¹

     Mary Caroline Singer was the daughter of Admiral Morgan Singer.² She married Vice-Admiral George William Hill, son of Reverend John Hill and Charlotte Kenyon, on 7 November 1882.¹ She died in 1896.¹
