     Mary Patricia Carlow is the daughter of Charles Cyril Carlow.¹ She married Sir Robert Temple Armstrong, Baron Armstrong of Ilminster, son of Sir Thomas Henry Wait Armstrong and Hester Draper, in 1985.¹
     Mary Patricia Carlow usually went by her middle name of Patricia.¹ From 1985, her married name became Armstrong.¹ As a result of her marriage, Mary Patricia Carlow was styled as Baroness Armstrong of Ilminster on 26 February 1988.
