     Sir George Jeremy ffolliott Chance, 4th Bt. was born on 24 February 1926.¹ He is the son of Sir Roger James Ferguson Chance, 3rd Bt. and Mary Georgina Rowney.² He married Cecilia Mary Elizabeth Chance, daughter of Sir William Hugh Stobart Chance and Cynthia May Baker-Cresswell, on 4 March 1950.¹
