     Major James Douglas Macindoe was the son of James Black Macindoe.2 He married Mary Margaret Pollen, daughter of Francis Gabriel Hungerford Pollen and Flora Mary Dunolly, in 1916.1 He and Mary Margaret Pollen were divorced in 1928.1 He died on 30 November 1954.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Scots Guards.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1
