     Diana Macdonald was born on 28 September 1769.2 She was the daughter of Alexander Macdonald, 1st Baron Macdonald of Slate and Elizabeth Diana Bosville.3 She married John Sinclair, son of George Sinclair and Janet Sutherland, on 6 March 1788.1 She died on 22 April 1845 at age 75.1
      From 6 March 1788, her married name became Sinclair.
