     Mary Lyon Dennistoun was the daughter of James Dennistoun and Margaret Dreghorn.1 She married Sir William Baillie of Polkemmet, 1st Bt., son of William Baillie, Lord Polkemmet and Margaret Colquhoun, in 1815.1 She died on 17 December 1872.1
     From 1815, her married name became Baillie.1

     Sir William Baillie of Polkemmet, 2nd Bt. was born on 2 February 1816.1 He was the son of Sir William Baillie of Polkemmet, 1st Bt. and Mary Lyon Dennistoun.1 He married Mary Stewart, daughter of Stair Hathorn Stewart, on 14 April 1846.1 He died on 21 July 1890 at age 74, without issue.1
     Sir William Baillie of Polkemmet, 2nd Bt. held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Linlithgowshire between 1844 and 1847.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Baillie, of Polkemmet, Linlithgowshire [U.K., 1823] on 28 January 1854.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1
