     Lady Augusta Hay was born on 25 April 1766. She was the daughter of James Hay, 15th Earl of Erroll and Isabella Carr.1 She married George Boyle, 4th Earl of Glasgow, son of John Boyle, 3rd Earl of Glasgow and Elizabeth Ross, on 8 March 1788.2 She died on 23 July 1822 at age 56.2
      From 8 March 1788, her married name became Boyle. As a result of her marriage, Lady Augusta Hay was styled as Countess of Glasgow on 8 March 1788.

     Julia Sinclair was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir John Sinclair of Ulbster, 1st Bt. and Diana Macdonald.1,2 She married George Boyle, 4th Earl of Glasgow, son of John Boyle, 3rd Earl of Glasgow and Elizabeth Ross, on 13 November 1824.1 She died on 19 February 1868.1
     As a result of her marriage, Julia Sinclair was styled as Countess of Glasgow on 13 November 1824. From 13 November 1824, her married name became Boyle.

     Rt. Hon. Sir John Sinclair of Ulbster, 1st Bt. was born on 10 May 1754 at Thurso, Caithness, Scotland. He was the son of George Sinclair and Janet Sutherland.1,2 He married Sarah Maitland, daughter of Alexander Maitland, on 26 March 1776 at St. Martins in the Fields, London, England.3,4 He married Diana Macdonald, daughter of Alexander Macdonald, 1st Baron Macdonald of Slate and Elizabeth Diana Bosville, on 6 March 1788.2 He died on 21 December 1835 at age 81.2
     He was Privy Counsellor (P.C.).2 He lived Ulbster.2 To the male issue of his daughters by primogeniture.2 He was founder and Pres Board of Ag, MP, Cashier Excise Scotland, Colonel Caithness and Rothesay Fencibles, which he raised.2 DCL, FRS, FRAS.2 Author: Statistical Account of Scotland.2 Agricultural innovator.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.).2 He was created 1st Baronet Sinclair, of Ulbster, co. Caithness. In default of his own male issue.2 On 14 February 1786 so created.2
