     Captain Claude Arthur Hervey was born on 16 March 1891.1 He was the son of Sir George William Hervey and Emily Dora Pelham-Clinton.1 He married Edith Kathleen Lamb, daughter of Humphrey B. Lamb, on 14 February 1920.1 He died on 25 December 1927 at age 36.1
     Captain Claude Arthur Hervey gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Naval Air Service.1
