     Ronald Frederick William Hervey was born on 4 October 1919.1 He was the son of Alec Francis Hervey and Winifred Victoria Cosens.1 He married, firstly, Constance Mary Bunce, daughter of James David Bunce, on 10 June 1943.1 He and Constance Mary Bunce were divorced in 1948.1 He married, secondly, Jeanne Patricia Dowse, daughter of Reverend Archibald Wynne Esmonde Dowse, on 6 September 1958.1 He died on 4 June 1997 at age 77.1
     He fought in the Second World War, in the Royal Naval Reserve, Royal Artillery and Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1947.1

     From before 1943, her married name became Zatonski.1 Her married name became Hervey.
