Catherine Twisden Smith-Marriott was the daughter of Rev. Sir William Marriott Smith-Marriott, 4th Bt. and Julia Elizabeth Hodges.1 She married Reverend Pierce Butler, son of Lt.-Gen. Hon. Henry Edward Butler and Jane Gowan, on 30 July 1861.2 She died on 3 November 1804. She died on 3 November 1904.2

Rev. Sir William Marriott Smith-Marriott, 4th Bt. was born on 31 August 1801. He was the son of Sir John Wyldbore Smith, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Anne Marriott. He married, firstly, Julia Elizabeth Hodges, daughter of Thomas Law Hodges, on 29 December 1825. He married, secondly, Frances Radclyffe on 11 April 1844. He died on 4 October 1864 at age 63.
Rev. Sir William Marriott Smith-Marriott, 4th Bt. gained the title of 4th Baronet Smith. He was the Rector at Horsmundenor, England.2
