     Peirce de Lacy Henry Johnstone was born on 25 May 1848.1 He was the son of Francis William Johnstone and Maria Mahony.2 He married Jessie Sime, daughter of James Sime, on 24 October 1888.1 He died on 26 January 1927 at age 78.1
     He was a practising barrister.1 He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1
