     Sir John Mordaunt, 5th Bt. was born at Walton, Warwickshire, England.2 He was the son of Sir Charles Mordaunt, 3rd Bt. and Catherine Tollemache.3 He married Anne (?) on 13 June 1678.4 He married Penelope Warburton, daughter of Sir George Warburton, on 8 June 1695.4 He married Elizabeth (?) on 1 July 1715.4 He died on 6 September 1721.4
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Warwickshire.4 He lived Walton D'Evile.4 He gained the title of 5th Baronet Mordaunt, of Massingham.
