     Mary Ellen Thomson was the daughter of Cathcart Thomson.2 She married Admiral Sir Charles George Frederick Knowles, 4th Bt., son of Sir Francis Charles Knowles and Emma Pocock, on 14 June 1882.1 She died on 5 July 1890.1
      NS.1 And by her had.1 Her married name became Knowles. She lived Halifax.1

     Francis Howe Seymour Knowles was born on 13 January 1886.1 He was the son of Admiral Sir Charles George Frederick Knowles, 4th Bt. and Mary Ellen Thomson.2 He married Kathleen Constance Averina Lennon, daughter of William Lennon, on 22 April 1914.1 He died on 4 April 1953 at age 67.1
     He was educated Oriel College Oxford (BSc, MA).1 Physical Anthropologist to Geograpical Survey Canada.1 He was also known as 5th Baronet [U.K. Life Peer].1

     George Johnstone Knowles was born on 17 July 1887.1 He was the son of Admiral Sir Charles George Frederick Knowles, 4th Bt. and Mary Ellen Thomson.2 He married Helen Marjorie Pockley, daughter of Captain R. F. Pockley, on 17 March 1915.1 He died on 31 January 1954 at age 66, without issue.1
     He was Captain.1
