     Jane McNeill is the daughter of Daniel McNeill of Gallichoilly.² She married Sir Alexander Macdonald Lockhart, 19th of the Lee and 6th of Carnwath, 1st Bt., son of Charles LOCKHART later MACDONALD OF LARGIE Wishart and Elizabeth Macdonald.¹
      Provost of Inveraray.¹ Her married name became Lockhart. Argyll (married 2nd John McNiell.¹

     Sir Norman Macdonald Lockhart, 21st of the Lee and 8th of Carnwath, 3rd Bt. was born on 10 December 1802.¹ He was the son of Sir Alexander Macdonald Lockhart, 19th of the Lee and 6th of Carnwath, 1st Bt. and Jane McNeill.² He married Margaret McLean, daughter of John McLean, on 23 February 1836.¹ He died on 9 May 1849 at age 46, with five daughters (see 1939 edn):.¹
