     He lived at Morar, Scotland.1 The lands of Morar passed to Allan, son of Dugall, 6th Chief of Clanranald.1

     unknown daughter Stewart is the daughter of Sir John Stewart of Invermeath, 3rd of Lorn.1 She married Allan Macdonald, 2nd of Clanranald and Moidart, son of Reginald MacDonald, 1st of Clanranald and 1st of Glengarry.1
      Her married name became Macdonald.

Ruari Macdonald, 3rd of Clanranald and Moidart1

     Ruari Macdonald, 3rd of Clanranald and Moidart was the son of Allan Macdonald, 2nd of Clanranald and Moidart and unknown daughter Stewart.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Macdonald, daughter of Sir Donald 'Ballach' Macdonald and Johanna O'Neill.1 He married, secondly, Marion Mackintosh, daughter of William Mackintosh, Chief of Clan Chattan.1 He died in 1481.1
      In 1431 he fought under Sir Donald Balloch of Isla in Lochaber when the latter defeated the King's army.1 In 1455 he unsuccessfully raided Sutherland.1 He also had several natural sons.1

     Angus Macdonald, 5th of Knoydart is the son of Allan Macdonald, 4th of Knoydart.2
      In 1548 he received a respite from the Crown for his share in Blar Leine in 1544 (the usurpation by Ranald Gallda of 8th Chief).1 In 1576 he gave a bond of warrant to Lord (Fraser of) Lovat.1
