     Godfrey John Boyle Chetwynd, 8th Viscount Chetwynd of Bearhaven was born on 3 October 1863.1 He was the son of Captain Hon. Henry Weyland Chetwynd and Julia Bosville Davidson.2 He and Hilda von Alvensleben Rusteberg were divorced before February 1904.1 He married, secondly, Hon. Mary Eden, daughter of William George Eden, 4th Baron Auckland and Lucy Walbanke Childers, on 10 February 1904.3 He married, firstly, Hilda von Alvensleben Rusteberg, daughter of George Baron von Alvensleben Rusteberg, on 12 April 1893.1 He died on 22 March 1936 at age 72 at San Angelo, Texas, U.S.A..1,4
     Godfrey John Boyle Chetwynd, 8th Viscount Chetwynd of Bearhaven was invested as a Companion of Honour (C.H.).1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the West Riding, Yorkshire.1 He succeeded to the title of 8th Viscount Chetwynd of Bearhaven, co.
