     Sir Thomas Mackworth, 1st Bt. was the son of George Mackworth and Grace Rokeby.2 He married Margaret Hall, daughter of Henry Hall.1 He died in March 1625/26.1
     He was a practising Serjeant at Law.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Rutland between 1598 and 1600.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Rutland from 1609 to 1610.1 He was created 1st Baronet Mackworth [England] on 4 June 1619.1
