     John MacLeod is the son of Malcolm 'Garbh' MacLeod, 1st of Raasay.2
      Married 2nd a dau of Allan MacRory of Gairloch, sister to Ruairi Nimhneach, and by her had several sons.1 He was eloped with and afterwards m 1st Janet, wife of his uncle (see above) several sons and a daughter (–, married Alexander Royal Mackenzie, eldest s of Hector Cam (‘The Lame') Mackenzie, s of Hector Royal Mackenzie 1st of Gairloch).1 Known as Ian na Tuaighe (‘John of the Axe').1

     Malcolm MacLeod, 3rd of Raasay was born circa 1545.1 He was the son of Alastair MacLeod, 2nd of Raasay.2 He married Isabel Mackenzie, daughter of Kenneth 'na Cuirc' Mackenzie of Kintail.1 He died in 1605, c.1
      OF RAASAY.1 On 14 February 1571 mentioned in a charter under the Great Seal –72.1 On 10 July 1596 obtained a charter on his own assignation under the Great Seal of his lands in Inverness-shire, resigned his lands of Raasay, etc., to Kenneth Mackenzie, Lord Kintail, from whom he got a charter of those lands 1610.1

     Malcolm MacLeod, 4th of Raasay was born circa 1566.1 He is the son of Malcolm MacLeod, 3rd of Raasay and Isabel Mackenzie.2
      OF RAASAY.1 On 20 July 1596 recd a roy charter dated investing him with his f's lands.1 In August 1611 killed in a sea-fight at Raasay by the MACKENZIEs OF GAIRLOCH (see INGLIS OF GLENCORSE) , sp.1
