     He was registered as a MTPI.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Engineers.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1 He was registered as a Associate, Royal Institute of British Architects (A.R.I.B.A.)1

     From 30 August 1941, her married name became MacThomas.

     He was educated at Blundell's School, Tiverton, Devon, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Artillery.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Madden, of Kells, co.
