     Duncan Macpherson was the son of Ewan Macpherson and Janet Fraser.2 He married Catherine Cameron, daughter of Sir Ewen Cameron of Fassiefern.1 He died on 1 August 1817, having by her had:.1
      Known as ‘Duncan of the Kiln' from the corn kiln on his f's estates in which he was b after Cluny Castle had been destroyed by the Duke of Cumberland.1 13th Chief.1 OF CLUNY MACPHERSON.1 In 1748 born.1 He was Lieutenant-Colonel 3rd Scots Fusiliers Gds, served in American War of Independence with 71st Fraser Hldrs, recovered his ancestral lands , largely at the intercession and through the generosity of his kinsman James Macphers of Belleville, to whom in 1784.1
