     Captain James Anlaby Legard married Katherine Cayley, daughter of Sir George Cayley, 6th Bt. and Sarah Walker, on 6 May 1845.¹
     Captain James Anlaby Legard gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.²

     Henry Frederick Beaumont was born on 10 March 1837.² He was the son of Henry Ralph Beaumont and Katherine Cayley.¹ He married Maria Johanna Garthorpe, daughter of William Garthorpe, on 1 September 1857.¹ He died on 6 October 1913 at age 76.¹
     Henry Frederick Beaumont held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for South Yorkshire.¹ He lived at Whitley Beaumont.¹

     Margaret Stewart was the daughter of Henry Stewart, 2nd Lord Methven.¹ She married John Stewart of Traquair yr.² She married Andrew Stewart, Master of Ochiltree, son of Andrew Stewart, 2nd Lord Stewart of Ochiltree and Agnes Cunningham, before 9 March 1566/67.² She died on 1 January 1627.²

     Andrew Stewart, 3rd Lord Stewart of Ochiltree was born circa 1560.¹ He was the son of Andrew Stewart, Master of Ochiltree and Margaret Stewart.² He married Margaret Kennedy, daughter of Sir John Kennedy of Blairquhan, circa 8 August 1587.¹ He died in January 1628/29.¹
     Andrew Stewart, 3rd Lord Stewart of Ochiltree held the office of First Gentleman of the Bedchamber to King James VI and I.¹ He held the office of General of Edinburgh Castle.¹ He gained the rank of General of Artillery.¹ He succeeded to the title of 3rd Lord Stewart of Ochiltree [S., 1543] on 21 March 1601/2.¹ In 1611 he settled in Ulster, where he was granted 3,000 acres in County Tyrone, as one of the ‘undertakers', and was later granted other large tracts of land in Northern Ireland.¹ In 1615 he sold the territorial Barony of Ochiltree and resigned his peerage to his cousin to raise cash.¹ He was created 1st Baron Castle Stuart, of co. Tyrone [Ireland] on 7 November 1619.¹

     Maria Johanna Garthorpe was born circa 1835.¹ She was the daughter of William Garthorpe.¹ She married Henry Frederick Beaumont, son of Henry Ralph Beaumont and Katherine Cayley, on 1 September 1857.¹ She died on 10 July 1925.¹
     From 1 September 1857, her married name became Beaumont.¹

     Sir John Stewart was the son of Sir John Stewart. He died before 1326.

     Walter Stewart was the son of Sir John Stewart. He died before 1326.

     Margery Stewart was the daughter of Sir John Stewart. She married Sir Alexander Lindsay before 19 October 1378. She died before 1442.
     Her married name became Lindsay.

     Sir Alexander Lindsay was born before 1368. He married Margery Stewart, daughter of Sir John Stewart, before 19 October 1378. He died circa October 1381.
