     Sir John Moncreiff of that Ilk, 5th Bt. was born circa 1628.¹ He was the son of Hugh Moncreiff and Isabel Megginch.² He married Nicola Moncreiff, daughter of John Moncreiff of Easter Moncreiff, in 1680.¹ He died on 27 April 1714, an only surviving son:.¹
     He lived Tippermalloch (for whose acquisition by the family see ERROLL.¹ He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Moncreiff.¹ Physician.¹

     Nicola Moncreiff is the daughter of John Moncreiff of Easter Moncreiff.² She married Sir John Moncreiff of that Ilk, 5th Bt., son of Hugh Moncreiff and Isabel Megginch, in 1680.¹

     Sir Hugh Moncreiff of that Ilk, 6th Bt. was the son of Sir John Moncreiff of that Ilk, 5th Bt. and Nicola Moncreiff.² He died in 1744, when the btcy for a while became dormant unmarried.¹
     He gained the title of 6th Baronet Moncreiff.¹

     Bethia Moncreiff is the daughter of Sir John Moncreiff of that Ilk, 5th Bt. and Nicola Moncreiff.² She married Reverend William Moncreiff.¹
      Her married name became Moncreiff.
