     Sir John Moncreiffe, 9th of that Ilk was the son of John Moncreiffe, 8th of that Ilk and Margaret Levingston.² He married Beatrix Forman, daughter of unknown Forman.¹ He died on 9 September 1513 at Flodden Field, Northumberland, England, killed in action.³
     He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513.¹

     Beatrix Forman is the daughter of unknown Forman.² She married Sir John Moncreiffe, 9th of that Ilk, son of John Moncreiffe, 8th of that Ilk and Margaret Levingston.¹
      Her married name became Moncreiffe.¹

     Margaret Murray is the daughter of Sir Andrew Murray of Balvaird.² She married William Moncreiffe, 10th of that Ilk, son of Sir John Moncreiffe, 9th of that Ilk and Beatrix Forman, in 1526.¹
      From 1526, her married name became Moncreiffe.¹

     Jean Oliphant is the daughter of Laurence Oliphant, 3rd Lord Oliphant and Margaret Sandilands.² She married William Moncreiffe of that Ilk, younger, son of William Moncreiffe, 10th of that Ilk and Margaret Murray, in 1550.¹
     She was also known as Jane Oliphant.³ From 1550, her married name became Moncreiffe.¹

     William Moncreiffe, 11th of that Ilk was the son of William Moncreiffe of that Ilk, younger and Jean Oliphant.² He married Anne Murray, daughter of Robert Murray of Abercairny, in 1586.¹ He died on 27 September 1624.¹
      He was the last to have the hereditary right to sit in the Scottish Parliament as a feudal Baron before the statute providing for the election of Commissioners to represent the barons.¹ He was Gentleman of the King's Chamber in 1580.¹ In 1599 he sold Highland lands of Culdares and Duneaves to buy the Fife barony of Carnbee.¹
