     Sir James Wellwood-Moncreiff, 9th Bt. was born on 13 September 1776.1 He was the son of Reverend Sir Henry Wellwood-Moncreiff, 8th Bt. and Susan Robertson Barclay.2 He married Ann Robertson, daughter of Captain George Robertson and Ann Lewis, on 19 June 1808.1 He died on 4 April 1851 at age 74.1
     He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.)1 He was a practising advocate in 1799, as which he acted as defence counsel for the ‘Resurrectionists' Burke and Hare.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Moncreiff [N.S., 1626] on 9 August 1827.1 He was styled as Lord Moncreiff [Scottish Law Lord] in 1829.1 He held the office of Lord of Session between 1829 and 1851.1

Isabella Wellwood-Moncreiff1

     Isabella Wellwood-Moncreiff was the daughter of Reverend Sir Henry Wellwood-Moncreiff, 8th Bt. and Susan Robertson Barclay.2 She married Sir John Stoddart, son of John Stoddart, in 1803.1,3 She died in February 1846.1
     From 1803, her married name became Stoddart.

Sir John Stoddart1

     Sir John Stoddart was born on 6 February 1773 at Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.2 He was the son of John Stoddart.2 He married Isabella Wellwood-Moncreiff, daughter of Reverend Sir Henry Wellwood-Moncreiff, 8th Bt. and Susan Robertson Barclay, in 1803.1,2 He died on 16 February 1856 at age 83 at 13 Brompton Square, London, England.2
     He held the office of Chief Justice and Judge of the Admiralty Court, Malta.1 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He was lead writer for The Times between 1812 and 1816.2 He was appointed Knight on 27 July 1826.2

     Ann Robertson was born circa 1780.2 She was the daughter of Captain George Robertson and Ann Lewis.3,2 She married Sir James Wellwood-Moncreiff, 9th Bt., son of Reverend Sir Henry Wellwood-Moncreiff, 8th Bt. and Susan Robertson Barclay, on 19 June 1808.1 She died on 28 May 1843.1
     From 19 June 1808, her married name became Wellwood-Moncreiff.

     Reverend Sir Henry Wellwood-Moncreiff of Tulliebole, 10th Bt. was born on 12 May 1809.1 He was the son of Sir James Wellwood-Moncreiff, 9th Bt. and Ann Robertson.2 He married, firstly, Alexina Mary Bell, daughter of George Bell, on 8 March 1838.1 He married, secondly, Lucretia Murray, daughter of Andrew Murray, on 19 August 1875.1 He died on 3 November 1883 at age 74, without issue.1
     He was educated at Edinburgh High School, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)1 He was Minister in 1836 at Baldernock, Stirlingshire, Scotland.1 He was Minister between 1837 and 1843 at East Kilbride, ScotlandG.1 He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Moncreiff [N.S., 1626] on 4 April 1851.1 He was Minister between 1852 and 1883 at St. Cuthbert's, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He was Moderator of the Free Church General Assembly in 1861.1

     Alexina Mary Bell was the daughter of George Bell.2 She married Reverend Sir Henry Wellwood-Moncreiff of Tulliebole, 10th Bt., son of Sir James Wellwood-Moncreiff, 9th Bt. and Ann Robertson, on 8 March 1838.1 She died on 12 April 1874.1
     From 8 March 1838, her married name became Wellwood-Moncreiff.

     William Wellwood-Moncreiff was born on 28 September 1813.1 He was the son of Sir James Wellwood-Moncreiff, 9th Bt. and Ann Robertson.2 He married Susan Ballantine Dykes, daughter of Joseph Dykes Ballantine Dykes, on 26 April 1860.1 He died on 31 August 1895 at age 81, without issue.1
