Granville Dudley Ryder was born on 26 November 1799.1 He was the son of Dudley Ryder, 1st Earl of Harrowby and Lady Susan Leveson-Gower.1 He married Lady Georgiana Augusta Somerset, daughter of Henry Charles Somerset, 6th Duke of Beaufort and Lady Charlotte Sophia Leveson-Gower, on 30 May 1825.1 He died on 24 November 1879 at age 79.1
