Peter Capel Meyrick was born in 1909 at Westhampnett, Sussex, England.1 He was the son of Admiral Sir Sidney Julius Meyrick.1 He married Mary Josephine Deedes, daughter of General Sir Charles Parker Deedes and Eve Mary Dean-Pitt, on 20 April 1933 at Brompton Oratory, Kensington, London, England.1 He died on 8 November 1942, killed in action aboard H.M.S. Walney.1
     He was educated at Twyford School, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Second World War.1
