     Margaret Beatrix Lambton was the daughter of Henry Lambton.² She married Brig.-Gen. Hon. James Francis Erskine, son of Sir Henry David Erskine and Lady Horatia Elizabeth Seymour, on 10 December 1896.¹ She died on 17 July 1952.¹

     Brigadier Malcolm David Erskine was born on 31 August 1903.² He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Hon. James Francis Erskine and Margaret Beatrix Lambton.¹ He died on 27 October 1949 at age 46, disappeared while on a flight over the Malayan jungle.¹
     Brigadier Malcolm David Erskine fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Brigadier in the service of the Scots Guards.² He was decorated with the award of Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1943.² He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1949 posthumous.²
