Brigadier Malcolm David Erskine was born on 31 August 1903.2 He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Hon. James Francis Erskine and Margaret Beatrix Lambton.1 He died on 27 October 1949 at age 46, disappeared while on a flight over the Malayan jungle.1
